To kick start the new year of 2018, NCCD presented an exhibition showcasing work by artists who were tipped to be the future stars of the craft & design world in the new exhibition, Class Of 2017: Structural Composition.

Each year the ‘Class Of’ exhibition series highlighted the work of a number of new graduates from across the country.

Class Of 2017, Structural Composition, celebrated the work of artists and makers who’s work featured elements borrowed or influenced by architecture. Some of the work used shapes or characteristics of existing buildings, while others took inspiration from architectural styles, such as Baroque or Brutalism.

The show included textile, toy and jewellery designers as well as ceramicists, sculptors and engineers. All displayed in a bright and colourful gallery environment which matched the energy and impact of the student’s work.
